Autumn leaves always look so detailed in person, but photos don’t always capture that same texture. The colors might look great, but when I zoom in, the leaf veins, edges, and smaller details can still look a little soft.

I’ve found that simply increasing sharpness isn’t always the best solution. Too much sharpening can make the edges look harsh, while increasing saturation doesn’t really bring back the missing texture.

Recently, I’ve been trying **[HitPaw FotorPea](https://www.hitpaw.com/fotorpea-photo-enhancer.html)** to enhance the details first, especially with photos that are slightly soft or were taken in less-than-ideal lighting.

The biggest difference for me was in the small details. Individual leaves became easier to distinguish, and the textures were more visible without making the whole photo look overly processed.

🍁 Also, if you’re planning to edit some fall photos this season, HitPaw is currently running an **[Autumn Sale](https://www.hitpaw.com/sales-promotion.html)**. So if you’ve been thinking about trying FotorPea, it’s a pretty good time to give it a try.

What do you usually do with your fall photos? Do you prefer keeping the colors realistic, or do you like going for a warmer, more dramatic autumn look?
