Has anyone here played around with open source voice changers lately?

I’ve been testing a few for fun — stuff like real-time pitch shift, robot filters, even AI voice cloning models. Some of them are surprisingly decent (especially the ones built on So-VITS or RVC), but others… crash if you even breathe near the settings menu

Still, I kinda love the chaos. There’s something really satisfying about tweaking an open source project until it finally sounds right. Plus, it’s cool to see how people from all over the world collaborate on these things — sharing code, filters, and wild new effects.

That said, it’s not for everyone. Some setups are complicated, you’ll need to handle latency issues, audio routing, and even some Python scripts. For folks who just want quick fun or to use a voice changer for gaming or streaming, smoother AI tools like HitPaw VoicePea make the whole experience much easier.

So I’m curious — do you all prefer the DIY, open-source approach (total control but lots of tinkering), or the plug-and-play AI style that “just works”?
Would love to hear what setups people here use or recommend! :headphone:
