Hey everyone,
So I was messing around with my old videos and decided to see what 8K upscaling was all about. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much… but wow.
I used HitPaw VikPea (it used to be called HitPaw Video Enhancer), and it actually makes a huge difference. I took some 1080p clips from a few years ago and ran them through the software. The AI models cleaned up the noise, sharpened faces, and even made colors pop in ways I didn’t think were possible. Some of my old clips almost look like they were filmed yesterday.
It’s kind of wild thinking about how much video quality you can squeeze out of old footage. You can batch process stuff too, so I didn’t have to sit there one by one.
Has anyone else tried something like this? How noticeable do you find AI upscaling on an 8K screen? Do you think it’s worth it for personal videos, or is it more of a pro thing?
Curious to see what you all are doing with tools like this — any tips or favorite settings?
