So the teaser for Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil just dropped, and I’m actually so hyped. This will be the 45th Doraemon movie and a remake of the 1983 classic. Release is set for March 2026 in Japan, and the teaser already looks amazing — the underwater kingdoms look stunning, the lighting effects are crazy immersive, and Nobita + friends feel more expressive than ever.
I started rewatching some of the old Doraemon films for nostalgia, but honestly the VHS/DVD quality is rough. Colors are faded, the underwater scenes are super dark, and it feels kind of grainy. I tried using HitPaw VikPea (AI video enhancer) on Nobita and the Haunts of Evil, and it legit felt like a remaster — brighter, smoother, and way more watchable.
