Has anyone else been playing with these “Paper Animator” AIs? ![]()
I decided to test one out to see if it could help me make some cool background videos for my streams.
The Good:
It’s actually really satisfying to see a flat sketch suddenly have depth. The “diorama” look is super aesthetic, especially for indie game vibes or storytelling intros. It creates a parallax effect (foreground moves faster than background) that looks professional with zero effort.
The Not-So-Good:
It’s kind of a one-trick pony. Once you’ve seen the “paper fold” effect 5 times, you’ve seen it all. You can’t really animate expressions or complex actions. It’s just a camera pan.
The Better Way?
I actually ended up switching to HitPaw AI Video Generator for most of my stuff.
Why? Because HitPaw lets me generate actual movement (like wind, hair, walking) instead of just moving a camera around a frozen image. Plus, the video quality is way higher.
Verdict:
Paper Animator is great for a specific “art project” look. But for creating content? HitPaw wins hands down.
Anyone else tried these tools? What did you think? ![]()
