Anyone Else Feeling the Black Friday Ad Madness This Year? Here Are Some Ideas… 👀

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to drop something here because Black Friday ads this year feel wild. Everywhere I look, brands are running countdowns, lightning deals, influencer promos, AR try-ons—you name it. It kinda made me wonder… are we all seeing the same level of chaos? :joy:

I’ve been digging into different Black Friday advertising ideas (for work AND curiosity), and honestly, the creativity this year is next-level. It’s no longer just “Here’s 40% off.” Brands are doing gamified deals, click-to-unlock ads, TikTok Live flash sales, AI-personalized videos… I even saw a brand use a spin-to-win wheel that got me clicking like a 5-year-old at a carnival.

Some things I noticed that seem to really work:

  • Influencers dropping time-limited codes → works too well on me

  • Interactive ads you have to tap to unlock → weirdly fun

  • AR try-ons → especially cool for home decor or makeup

  • VIP early access for email subscribers → FOMO strategy always strong

  • Live shopping flash deals → TikTok definitely turned this into a sport

But here’s the part I didn’t expect: so many ads still look… kinda low-quality? Like brands have great ideas, but the actual videos feel blurry, dull, or noisy. With how fast people scroll on Black Friday, bad visuals = instant skip.

That’s actually why I started using HitPaw VikPea on some of my own ad materials (and old product clips). If anyone here hasn’t tried it yet—this thing is stupidly good at fixing rough footage. The AI upscaling + color boost literally makes a reused 720p clip look like a brand-new 4K ad. Super clutch for Black Friday when everything is moving fast.

I’ve been doing quick batches with:

  • UHD Restoration model

  • Color enhancement for product shots

  • Noise reduction for low-light scenes

  • And the AI Pilot when I’m too lazy to choose manually

It’s honestly kind of cheating how much better the videos look afterward.

Curious what you all think:

1. What’s the most creative Black Friday advertisement you’ve seen this year?
Something that actually made you stop scrolling?

2. Do you also feel video quality makes or breaks an ad?
Like… would you skip a blurry ad even if the discount is good?

3. For creators/marketers here—are you upgrading old videos for Black Friday too?
If yes, what tools or tricks are you using?

I feel like we’re hitting a point where ideas matter, but execution matters even more—especially on a week where everyone competes for the same eyeballs.

Would love to hear what’s working for you all (or what ads made you cringe lol).

Happy Black Friday prep, everyone! :shopping_bags::fire:
