I’m a teacher, and one thing I always seem to do before a new semester starts is go through my old teaching materials. This time I was checking some screen-recorded tutorials from previous classes, and honestly, some of them looked much worse than I remembered. 
The recordings were still useful, but the screen text and details were a little blurry, especially after being compressed and uploaded a few times. I really didn’t want to record all of those lessons again.
That’s when I tried HitPaw VikPea Video Enhancer. I used it mainly to upscale some of the older footage and improve the details. The difference was most noticeable on small text and other parts of the screen. I also tested the noise reduction on a few recordings that looked a bit rough. It won’t magically recreate details that were never there, but for my older videos, it made them much easier to watch.
I’ve also used Camtasia for creating new tutorials from scratch, and ScreenPal is nice when I just need a quick screen recording without a complicated setup. But for videos I already have and don’t want to remake, VikPea has been the more useful one for me.
One more reason I decided to get it now: HitPaw is currently running its Back to School Sale, so I figured I might as well pick it up while the seasonal discount is available. I’ll probably be using it quite a bit once the semester gets busy again.
If you’re a teacher with a folder full of old course videos like me, it might be worth checking those recordings before you start making everything from scratch again.
