So… I randomly tried drawing an Easter bunny and it didn’t go as bad as expected
I know Easter already passed, but it still kinda feels like we’re in that Easter vibe, so I was messing around with some drawing stuff.
I usually don’t draw at all, like zero skills.
But I kept seeing those “easy bunny drawing” things and thought ok… let me try.
What surprised me
I always thought drawing a bunny = complicated.
But it’s actually more like:
-
draw an oval
-
add two long ovals (ears)
-
another bigger oval (body)
…and somehow it already looks like something??
Not good, but recognizable lol
Where I struggled
The moment I tried to “make it look cute” → everything fell apart ![]()
-
eyes looked off
-
nose too high/low = weird
-
proportions suddenly matter a lot
Also fur details?? yeah… no idea what I’m doing there
Tried something kinda interesting
At some point I couldn’t tell if my drawing was bad or just… unfinished
So I tried using this AI thing (HitPaw Online AI Photo Generator)
Didn’t really expect much, but I uploaded my sketch and it gave me a cleaner version of it
It was actually helpful to see:
-
what the shape should look like
-
where mine was off
Not saying it makes you better instantly, but it’s kinda like having a reference based on your own drawing
Random takeaway
If anyone else is trying this (especially beginners like me):
-
don’t overthink it at the start
-
basic shapes actually work
-
it looks wrong before it looks right (apparently normal)
Curious if anyone else is doing random Easter stuff still?
-
drawing?
-
crafts?
-
anything creative?
Also if you draw, do you use references or just wing it?
